Sunrise hikes, evening aperitifs, or strolling through the city – there is so much to experience and enjoy in South Tyrol! Sabine sets out the reasons why returning (once again) to South Tyrol is always worthwhile.

Reasons why returning (once again) to South Tyrol is always worthwhile

The springtime splendour of the blossoms, full of hope; the vast choice of adventures to enjoy in summer; the distant views that can be admired in autumn and the peaceful, romantic, snow-covered landscapes of winter.
The diversity of nature – deep forests, wide valleys that soar up to gigantic 3,000-metre peaks and glaciers, almost as if from another world.
The remote hiking trails that criss-cross the land, where the journey is the reward.
The night-time ascents to the summit crosses and the orange-red sunrises in the Dolomites, where the day dawns in silence and magic as the world gleams in all its glory.
The warm welcome of the mountain huts that invite you to stop by and linger awhile.
The culinary delights that blend the best of north and south.
And the many different wines, where you can taste the culture and dedication, and which are the perfect complement to every dish.
The leisurely walks through the local villages and towns and the relaxed strolling in the vibrant towns and cities.
The aperitivi that can be sipped on balmy summer evenings and the brightly golden leaves of the autumn forests bidding farewell to the warm summer months.
The lakes that are refreshingly cool in summer, and slumber under the glistening ice in winter.
It is the slowing down to rest.
And it is the unique ambience and indescribable feeling of always feeling at home, even while on holiday.
It is the people.
It is the warmth of the South Tyroleans – and of our südtirol privat hosts.

It is all of these things – and more besides – that make up South Tyrol and are absolute musts for a holiday here, wouldn’t you agree? :-)
